While using fckEditor in an form (used like this), everything works well.
<cfscript>
fckEditor = createObject("component", "#application.editPath#/fckeditor");
fckEditor.instanceName = "theEditor";
fckEditor.value = homework.getAssignment();
fckEditor.basePath = application.editPath;
fckEditor.width = "80%";
fckEditor.height = 300;
fckEditor.ToolbarSet = "MHUsers";
fckEditor.create(); // create the editor.
</cfscript>
I tried to implement a MaxLength/CharsCounter function in to limit/warn users, but was unable to do so. I tried to replace the fckEditor.create() with a ReplaceTextarea() function and received error messages that "function ReplaceTextarea now found in fckEditor.....".
Anyway, do I need to use the ReplaceTextarea function in order to utilize the CharCounter/MaxLength functions? I dropped the CharsCounter plugin into the plugin directory, but when I added that to the toolbarset it said that it couldn't find "CharsCounter".
Is it possible?
Thanks,
Steve
