I am looking for a way to automatically update references much like what is seen in Microsoft Word or in Wikipedia. I have not found this capability in FCK 2.5 or 2.6. What am I missing?

I guess there is no one. FCKeditor is just a WYSIWYG HTML editor. If you need such functionality, you have to write a plugin for.
