Question about license

I just would like to ask you about license terms. I am not familiar with GPL an other similar licenses. So the question is - May I use the editor in my commercial product and what I should do about that? Should I release whole my big CMS system to be GPL project or it will be enough to distribute only GPL chunks' source code with the product.
