I am in the process of creating a custom DNN module, and part of its functionality is to give the users a memo type of field which they can record whatever kind of information they need. After some research it seemed like using FCKeditor would be my best bet. So, I downloaded the 2.5 version, installed, added it to the project, etc. The functionality of it is great, but after adding it I noticed that it started dragging down the performance of the module. The most time-intensive task the module has takes 5-6 seconds, and on the first postback that stays the same. However, on each successive postback, the time it takes to perform that task gets longer and longer when my FCKeditor box is present (it's hidden within an AJAX popup panel). As soon as I take the editor off and rebuild, the amount of times drop back to normal and stay constant. It seems like when the editor is on the page that every postback takes a couple of seconds longer than the previous one.
Has anyone seen this type of performance issue before? Is there perhaps some kind of setting or something that I can change to avoid this issue?

Re: Progressively slower loading within DotNetNuke
I'm not a .net expert, but I think that the ViewState stuff might be the culprit of your problems, check that it doesn't keep growing with each postback.
Re: Progressively slower loading within DotNetNuke
I had suspected ViewState originally, so I tried some manipulation of that, even going to the point of clearing it out after certain points of the page did their job, but still had the slowdown continuing to occur.
