Problems with relative links in IE6

When using the link tool/popup, if the protocol is set to <other> the editor adds a '/fckeditor/editor/' path to the front of all my links (we are trying to add relative links). This does not happen on any gecko-based browser.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? And if so have any solution to the problem?
