Problems with mediawiki

I use FCK Editor with mediawiki and i have the following problem:

If i want to write a text where a "<" is in it - after saving the fck editor change it to &amp..........gt;. So after i changed the article for X times the text looks like this: &amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;

I use mediawiki 1.10 and i downloaded the latest FCK editor today.

The second problem is:
If i want to see the version of FCK editor under the "Special Page" an error page comes with:
"Catchable fatal error: Object of class FCKeditor_MediaWiki could not be converted to string in /usr/share/mediawiki1.10/includes/SpecialVersion.php on line 241"

Can somebody help me with these two things.
