Hi
I have created a CMS for an arabic site. Its in ASP, with SQL Server at the back. the add page works just fine.
But when we modify a page, the content comes back as junk in the FCK Editor.
The page encoding is the same in the add and modify pages.
Please suggest what to do!
thanks
amit

Re: Problem in arabic
Codepage and character set :
META http-equiv="Content-Type" content='text/html; charset=windows-1256'
In database:
Varchar or text
Re: Problem in arabic
That doesn't tell ASP how to interpret characters. All you are doing is identifying to the browser what character set you think it should be receiving and submitting. Set Response.CodePage and Response.Charset in ASP to fix this. Here's the reference:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms524628.aspx
Keep in mind that Response.CodePage is a number and Response.Charset is a string.
