Problem with Span in HTML Source of FCK Editor

Hi all,

I have added some text and Image in the FCK editor, When I click on the Source of the Editor some where in the
HTML tags it is generating " " .

I want to know why the FCK editor is generating the span tag with some ID, and how to resolve this...

I am using FCKEditor version 2.6,

I too am experiencing the same issue. A client of mine, using IE 6 I believe, created some text, and FCKeditor (v. 2.6 beta 1) added the following span tag:

Mrs. Balsinger is a wonderful teacher. 

Any ideas what is causing this?
