It serves no function that the built-in browser one does.
I can hack the javascript myself to remove it, but that defeats the purpose of being able to drop in 2.4.4, 2.4.5, and other future versions of this wonderful editor without having to maintain my hacks.
The control key doesn't cut it.
For god knows what reason, selecting paste from the context menu makes the javascript read from the clipboard which is a huge security violation. There's no need to access the clipboard. No other editor I tried (e.g. tinymce and others) ever have this issue.
This is a huge huge huge issue for anyone with a public site that wants to attract members from the general public. Asking them to install a firefox addon to manage security settings cuts new member signups by about 99%. Teaching them to hold the control key is a constant nuisance and drives away members, too.
Please fix this.
So you don't get the sense I'm here to be a pest or something, I really do like just about everything else about the editor. It's small and fast, looks slick, and generally does its job quite well.

Re: Please, please, please, let me disable the context menu
isn't there any response to this post?
I also need to disable the context menu under some conditions.
Cheers,
Jose.
Re: Please, please, please, let me disable the context menu
Thanks.
Re: Please, please, please, let me disable the context menu
The solution for it was not so hard to implement. I've just opened the following ticket:

Re: Please, please, please, let me disable the context menu
I'm afraid I didn't explain the issue properly: I need the ContextMenu to be disabled programatically, at runtime, depending on my program logic (user rights).
Is that doable?
Cheers.
Re: Please, please, please, let me disable the context menu
I'm afraid I didn't explain the status of it properly
This is not possible to do currently. We need a configuration of for that, so you will be able to programmatically disable it. That's why I've opened #2252.
