PDF Upload tool?!

what button are you using?

I'm getting the same problem. The interface only allows you to upload Flash files (through the Upload Flash icon in the toolbar), and/or Image files (through the Upload Image icon in the toolbar). There doesn't seem to be an icon in the toolbar for uploading files that are NOT images or multimedia, for example PDFs or Word files.

It would be nice if there was simply an "Upload" icon, which would allow you to upload a range of media types with the processing script determining where the file should be stored and which Resource Type category it belongs to. As it is, if you want to upload a PDF file, you have to modify the config file to "trick" the FCKEditor into thinking that your PDF or Word file is an image. Thereafter, when you utilize the file explorer, such non-image files will be incorrectly designated as belonging to the Images resource type.

How do you simply upload files for the "File" resource type???

Never mind. I figured it out. You can upload files of any type by first clicking on the "Link" icon. Not the most intuitive solution in my opinion, but at least now I know that it's possible.
