@Piotrek: even though it's wuite some time later: for a newcomer, your answer is SO NOT an answer!
Would people who take their time to answer post please take into consideration that all these forum entries and their answers actually continue to exist in the internet and should therefore be formulated in a manner that 1, 2 years later the answer would still have some value?
Sorry to hear that my reply didn't help you. Unfortunately, we have little time to reply, so we can choose between doing nothing or redirecting someone to the documentation that we wrote. And besides that this question was asked dozens of times, both on StackOverflow and this forum. In such cases, repeating ourselves doesn't make sense so we forward people to the right place in the documentation. This is the only solution for free and open source projects like CKEditor.
It is shaped like a typical open source software support answer: "Little time to support", "this is what you get for free" etc. And I do understand that. But the problem is - at least in this case (but also generally in many others) - that this post is Google's first it when searching for "CKEditor onclick attribute". Unfortunately it does not lead to a real tutorial or a solution, and that is very annoying.
This is the very reason why I tend to either not answer at all or answer profoundly. Anything else is a huge waste of time for us all - and eventually people turn away from a certain piece of software, like here CKEditor. Which would be a shame, because it is an awesome editor!
So I kindly ask you to provide more sources to profound solutions to that topic in order to make this entry really as valuable as Google thinks it is.

I'm afraid that you understand it differently than I do. If I have a choice between helping 1 developer out of 3 (by giving ananswer like this) and helping 0 developers out of 3 (by giving none), I will choose helping this 1 developer.
PS. This question on StackOverflow, for which I wrote a pretty detailed answer, is the third result in Google for the phrase you quoted. Why do you ask me to spend more time if you didn't?
Your point of view is of course a total valid one and pretty much "friendlier" than mine.
The thing is that such a post live a long live in the internet. Looking at its original date and the date of many other questions I dare to say it is not of big help to many people. But it still IS a high hit on Google, even after some 2 years...
Your argument that I didn't look any further is first of all totally wrong, but even more not the point of the problem. My intention is to make high-ranked search results also REALLY valuable. So adding a link like you did in your most recent response here is actually doing that right now.
All that happens is that even more people will turn their interests to CKEditor. Even me, who had the task to search for an online editor that is conigurable and extensible. And I am positive that their are tons of people out their who have tio evaluate something and therefore little time. In such a case a good answer is the key to winning people's interest. No harm done.
Sorry when I start an argument with you about that, but I am convinced a good and valuable answer is nothing less than positive for your product.

Hi, Piotrk (or Reinnmar? sorry if I am wrong),
first of all thanks for getting back to me!
