Newbie question: resize canvas area

Hi all,

I'm new to fckeditor so please forgive what is probably an obvious thing I ask:

How do you resize the canvas (textarea) with fckeditor? Instead of stretching across the entire screen I need it to be half-sized.

I'm sure this is very easy but does not seem to be one of the configuration options.
