I'm just guessing, you didn't add the button.

Inside fckconfig.js

FCKConfig.ToolbarSets["Basic"] = [
   ['NEW_BTN_HERE','Bold','Italic','-','OrderedList','UnorderedList','-','Link','Unlink','-','About']
] ;

Thanks for the replies guys, but it looks like I have to post my own solution (after finally finding it).

What I did was add this to the fckeditor.config.js

FCKConfig.SpellChecker = 'WSC' ; // 'WSC' | 'SpellerPages' | 'ieSpell'

and then on the toolbar I added 'SpellCheck'.

Works fine now.
