New floating dialog system for file browser or link browser

Can the new fantastic floating dialog system be used for the file browser or the link browser ?
That would really make the whole thing more consistent and improve the user experience.

This would be a huge improvement to the floating dialog system. Not only would the whole thing be more concise, but the responsiveness of the browser faster and the user experience more Web2.0-like! I would consider this a must. And since it is half way there I don't see a reason not to...
