Well i am not totally new it FCK i have been using it on the adobe forums for some time i think? but i am totally new to working with it on my server.
The good news is i have it installed and working correctly i think?
FCK will be run on our server for people to post blogs and in forums. here are some of the issues i am having.
1. No system spell check, the system spell check at least on mac does not work. I did look into some spell checking programs for FCK i looked at spellchecker.net but honestly the price seems a little high 3,500.00 for a spell checker i am sure it is good but my server it self only cost 3,200 and my business partners will never approve 3500 for software.
( the apple system spell checker does work correctly on this forum so i have no clue )
2. Changing the size of the window does not work on my server. in Safari you can change the size of the text window but after putting fck on the server i can no longer do that. ( i can change the size of this text box in safari so i am now thinking it might be my install. )
3. When i make a table lets say with 4 columns and 10 rows and start to enter data starting from the top left. If i go to delete any content or even 1 letter or press the back space button it will delete every row and column that is empty that is that is not in a rectangle from top left corner to bottom right corner from what i typed in.
FCK works really well for these forums so i am thinking there is something wrong with my install or i missed some settings.
I am on a linux server running a Drupal5.3 as the base for my application after using FCK to type this i waited to post and looked over the instructions again and it seems that i followed all of them correctly.
