hello everyone,
I have deleted version 1.6 from my webspace and uploaded the very latest fck release as shown on this site.
Now, when I try to write a message using my forum application, fck does not open and I get the displayed errors shown below.
Can anyone please tell me specifically how I need to change the forum software to get fck to work?
ie what was present in version 1.6 which the forum now finds is missing or wrong in the latest version.
Many thanks.

RE: Moving to newer fck
This html has changed since 1.6, so you also need to update your PHP scripts.

RE: Moving to newer fck
Sounds like I will have to keep on waiting for further mailgust development then, because I wouldn't know where to start to do this.

RE: Moving to newer fck
I also found some references to FCKeditor / html_editor in a file called form.php, but the one above seems more useful here. To start with, anyway!
(fck is an option for each forum; when disabled in any forum the poster gets the standard text area)
So, can anyone kindly update the following code for me, assuming it is relevant to what Simone said :
function generFCKEditorField($name,$label,$value="",$rows="",
$cols="",$tdCl="", $spanCl="",
$afterField="")
{
global $list2Colors;
$s="";
if (isset($list2Colors)) {
if ($list2Colors && $tdCl=="cell") {
$tdCl="cell2";
}
$list2Colors = ($list2Colors + 1) % 2;
}
$s.="<tr";
if ($tdCl!="") $s.=" class='$tdCl'";
$s.=">";
$s.="<td colspan=2 class='$tdCl'>\n";
$s.="$label: <br><br>";
$value=preg_replace("'<head[^>]*?>.*?</head>'si","",$value);
$value=preg_replace("'<html[^>]*?>(.*)</html>'si","\\1",$value);
$value=preg_replace("'<!doctype[^>]*?>'si","\\1",$value);
$value=trim(preg_replace("'<body[^>]*?>(.*)</body>'si","\\1",$value));
ob_start();
include("../FCKeditor/fckeditor.php");
$oFCKeditor = new FCKeditor ;
$oFCKeditor->BasePath = '../FCKeditor/' ;
$oFCKeditor->Value = $value ;
$oFCKeditor->CreateFCKeditor( $name, "100%", 200 ) ;
$s.=ob_get_contents();
ob_end_clean();
$s.=$afterField;
$s.="</td></tr>\n";
return $s;
}
