I am trying to integrate FCKeditor into my mediawiki 1.12 installation. The extension integrated just fine, however it doesn't have the functionality that our users would like. For example, they would like to be able to past rich formatted text from a word document, directly into the editor. They would also like to be able to code with html and view source. So it seems like our needs and the design goals of the extension, differ significantly. The extension seems to be focused on enabling the output of wikitext instead of HTML.
What I would ike to do is integrate the latest fckeditor just like it's designed, to output HTML. Could anyone give me some advice or point me in the right direction on how to do this with mediawiki? I've tried the Maf's integration guide as well but it doesn't seem to work with mediawiki 1.12.
Just to recap, I am NOT looking for directions to the extension located here http://mediawiki.fckeditor.net/index.ph ... tion_guide , but rather a diferrent implementation.
