We've got FCKeditor working beautifully with IE6, but when we tried it on a Mac, using IE 5.1, no toolbar icons appear. Any suggestions? Any recommended Mac browser?
Unfortunately there isn't a way to get it to work on any other platform than MS Windows w/IE.
Supposedly Fred wants to create a Mozilla based version that could be used on other platforms. There are some examples of this working on the net although they are pretty far behind the MSHTML IE editors out there right now.
Thanks, Corbin. We've just spend several a week working on this project on the assumption that, as the documentation states, IE5+ was the requirement - no platform limitations specified!
Can you refer me to the non-MSWin sources you mention? Thanks in advance!

Very nice, htmlarea seems more complete than the mozilla midas demo. If you'd like some in depth resources check out:
http://www.mozilla.org/editor/midas-spec.html
a demo of the midas-spec:

If you'd like to see that HTMLAREA demo here:

Are there any open source projects our there? it would be nice because then the feature set moves faster...
