JS error when trying to submit.

Running Debian Linux,Apache.
Trying the Sample01 and 02 under _samples/html,
and whenever I hit "submit", I get the following error:

Error: sXHTML has no properties
Source File: http://dev1.firstwebmedia.com/fckeditor ... gecko_1.js
Line: 16

Is there some setting I'm missing?
