"Invalid File" error when uploading to FILE

I am trying to upload a PDF to the FILE resource type and keep getting "Invalid File" as the error

I am using the dotnet connector...

the PDF type is allowed in fckconfig.js and config.ascx

Oddly enough if I switch over to any other resource type (IMAGE, MEDI,etc) I can upload no problem... it just seems that FILE does not work no matter the extension

Windows 2k3, IIS6 dotnet 2.0 using FCK 2.6.3

Me too, using the php connector, v2.6.4 in Google Chrome.

Images upload fine, but I get an 'Invalid file type' error when attempting to upload a pdf file.

Is there not a separate toolbar button for files? Is this error connected with clicking the 'Insert/Edit image' button?

Duh, sorted, on my account. I used the 'link' toolbar button instead of the 'image' button and the upload tab and it worked. Was it always this way?

I've sorted my issue out... I had "aspx" , "exe" under deny extensions... as soon as i removed these the functionality returned
