Hello.
I try to create simple form (textarea and button) on a page using FCKeditor. Result should like this:
<form action="something" method="post">
<p><textarea name="txt"></textarea></p>
<p><input type="submit" value="send" /></p>
</form>
This is from Source mode after saving:
<form action="something" method="post">
<p><textarea name="txt"></body></html></textarea></p>
</form>
And this is from DB(what FCK produce):
<form action="something" method="post">
<p><textarea name="txt"></textarea></p>
<p><input type="submit" value="send" /></p>
</form>
As you can see, there is trouble with appearing the form in the editor.
I think everything that I just wrote is not undestarndable, because I speak english not well... So I made a screenshot showing my trouble... http://alexxnb.ru/screenshot.jpg(60kb)

RE: Inserting textarea in a form in editor
RE: Inserting textarea in a form in editor
Could you give us a step by step using the demo site?
RE: Inserting textarea in a form in editor
ok... go here -> http://www.fckeditor.net/demo/demo02.html?en
create form, insert one textarea and one submit button into it.
Save the document.
You will get a code:
<p> <form method="get"> <p> <textarea name="fgg"></textarea></p> </form> </p> <p><input type="submit" value="Send data" /></p>
Button is out of the form.
PS: I use IE6.
PS2: I just try FireFox. No problem! It is bug in IE only...
RE: Inserting textarea in a form in editor
Anyway, it seems that it is a problem with IE, you should file a bug in the bug tracker with the step by step procedure to avoid losing this info.
RE: Inserting textarea in a form in editor
RE: Inserting textarea in a form in editor
This is how I tested:
IE 6.0.2900 in XP SP2
http://www.fckeditor.net/demo/demo02.html?en
This steps makes the difference between working properly of failing:
(A) put the caret at the end of the line. Now insert a form, the caret seems to be inside the form, put a textarea (or just write something) and that gets placed out of the form.
going back to (A), press enter to start a new paragraph, now insert a form and the carets end after the form. Move the caret back inside the form and everything will work fine.
RE: Inserting textarea in a form in editor
I hope in new versions this bug will be fixed... =)
RE: Inserting textarea in a form in editor
It's quite hard to know the bugs if anyone should read all the forum messages instead of using the tracker.
