Inserting the cursor in the editor

With a standard blank textarea you can click anywhere in the box and have the cursor insert in the textarea. With the CKEditor it seems you have to click on the first line within the textarea to insert the cursor. Is there anyway you can specify to have the cursor inserted when you click anywhere in the textarea? I'm working in IE.
