Insert Page Break problems...

The Insert Page Break seems to be just what I need for the new CMS I'm building, but a bug with it in the editor is driving me crazy! Everytime the editor reloads (even after switching from visual to Source and back), it inserts

<p>&nbsp;</p>

both before and after the page break block. For the life of me I just can't find out how to stop this behaviour! It's happening in both IE and FireFox. Any ideas? Before I give up on FCKeditor?...
