Images handles in IE

There is a problem in IE about handles of objects (for examples images): if the image is selected and I scroll down the editor (and the image still remains selected), so that the image exits from the main editor area, the handles remain visible (although the image is not). See the screenshot:

Is there a way to resolve this issue?
This problem is getting me crazy...!

It seems to be a ie bug: i've found this in tinymce forum:
Image resize handles outside of editor in IE.
I also found the topic Resize of image in WYSIWYG, in which, in the last post, is given a sketch of a possible workaround.
