Image Uploading not working in FCK Editor used in Wordpress

I have installed the FCK Editor on my Wordpress site. The image upload function is not working. I get the following message:

The server didn't reply with a proper XML data. Please check your configuration.

What configuration is there that I can check, and what should it be set to?

Could there be some step that should have been taken in the installation, that wasn't because I installed this as a Wordpress plugin? Is there a way to re-do the configuration process? Where can I find information on how this should be configured?
