When I type text into a table cell, the text is entered without any surrounding tags which is fine. Then, with IE, when I center the text, the text is surrounded by a p tag with the attribute align="center" set instead of centering the table cell.
Firefox correctly centers the table cell.
I have been searching for an explanation in the forum, but haven't found anything.
Do you consider this as a bug? Is there a workaround?
Cheers,
Michael

RE: IE: Formatting text inserts <p> tag
When I type text into a table cell, the text is entered without any surrounding tags which is fine. Then, with IE, when I center the text, the text is surrounded by a p tag with the attribute align="center" set instead of centering the table cell.
This behaviour breaks the design. It is very likely that there are some style rules for the <p> tag which do apply.
So, do you consider this as a bug? Is there a workaround?
