Hey everybody out there.
I got a big problem concerning Internet Explorer and unexpected entities.
The whole story:
We have a professional self-made CMS and we wanna use FCKeditor as our webbased WYSIWYG editor. The CMS is already in use in several cases and i gotta implement the editor now. Everything works out very well so far. I did some custom plugins and some PHP stuff to get ToolBarSets depending on what rights the different users have. No problem so far.
Now the problem:
By loading existing real life data into the FCKeditor everything still works fine in FireFox. Having the same code loaded in Internet Explorer crashes the whole code. It replaces every " " with a as far as i push the "View Source" button or save the page on so read the source out of the hidden field. I looked up the value from the hidden field, where the editor gets its initial source from. There is no wrong in the code so anywhere in the FCKeditor there must be a piece of code which does that conversion. Every " " within is replaced. No other character. The Rest of it is nice XHTML code.
Is there anyone out there, who can assist me in finding that problem?
Kind regards,
Markus

Re: IE: All spaces converted to
When we copy from dreamweaver the remains, but as soon as we view source they are replaced by plain spaces, resulting in table cells getting really small in Firefox (And screwing up designs)
Anyone got a way to avoid replacing entities ?
