Looking at the second picture you can see the files, he has even ringed one to show which one he is trying to use.
I should have been more clear... can you see the files on the file system. I could also see files when clicking the browse button but the files were not stored in the location I requested (in fact I couldn't even locate the files I seen in there until I got it fixed).
I had this same problem with the red x and it was because I had path issues within the config. At the same time I had the problem I just described. If you don't see those same files on the file system you likely have an issue with paths.
I just loaded the program for testing. Everything works fine except for the uploaded image files. I changed config.php 'connection' to 'true' as required, that's all in that file.
I have 'successfully' uploaded images that I can see in the file list. When I select an image for a Web page it does not appear, only the 'placeholder box' appears. When I view the source of the placeholder the location and directories that are referenced do not exist on the server. So, I don't really know where the uploaded photos went on the server.
So, what is the fix for this problem? What paths need to be changed and in what files? Need clear information on this feature.

I'm using the .net version so I'll tell you what things I did and maybe you can find the php part you need to change where differences between the two exist.
-The FielBrowserLanguage and QuickUploadLanguage needs to be set in the fckconfig.js -Modify editor/filemanager/connectors/aspx/config.aspx CheckAuthentication method to return true if authenticated. This is something you will have to code yourself but you can just return true if testing locally but you really need to fix it correctly before deployment. -same file agin... url to userfiles in SetConfig method also need to set I sent UserFilesPath = ResolveUrl("~/userfiles/"); and UserFilesAbsolutePath = "";
My last issue was with the path in the SetConfig method. I had the path to the userfiles folder but my deployment path didn't match my local path so in .net the ResolveUrl got me around that. This is where my pics were being uploaded and could seen them listed in the browse server but not in the editor. Also could not see them anywhere on the server. This one still is strange to me because the files were still there when I came back to the app latter so they had to be there somewhere.

Hope that some how helps.
