How to post code snippets? help required

hello

i want to use FCK editor for my wysiwyg but i can not post code snippets in without FCK messing with the code. i have turned autoformat off and process html entities but fck still alters my code and 'escapes special characters'

i have tried pasting the code in to the souce and normal page of fck. on the source page it pastes in and then as soon as i click on the souce button the code get removed.

how can i turn this function off so i can have unaltered code?
can i do this by altering the config file?
