How do i save the contents i edited through FCKeditor?...

The Save button provided in the toolbar does not save the html content or page i made using the editor.
The Save button instead refreshes the page when i use it in my application page.
Could someone reply me the, how to save the contents in the editing area of the FCKeditor as a html file.
