Since today when I visit my site (where the ck-editor is included) with Chrome I get a warning (see attachment chrome_warning), that the site svc.spellchecker.net contains Malware and that it's better not to continue.
This is the link to the diagnotic-page that is shown on that warning:
http://safebrowsing.clients.google.com/ ... rome&hl=en
This site confuses me. If I call it several times on firefox (on chrome it doesn't do it), it shows alternately two different texts, one saying "there's malware" (see attachment site_message1_malware) and one saying "everything is okay" (see attachment site_message2_notMalware).
I'm totally confused...
Does anyone understand why the site says alternately two different things about the same site?
Does anyone else have this problem?
Any ideas for solution?

Re: Google says, svc.spellchecker.net contains malware
is been reported as malware by Google due to embedding third-party content. While using Hosted SpellCheckAsYouType (SCAYT) and WebSpellChecker (WSC) services with older versions of CKEditor you may see a warning message about malware from web browser - Chrome or Firefox. SpellChecker.net team has resolved the issue and now waiting for Google to verify the fix. We expect Google to verify the fix within 24 hours but hopefully faster.
Your users and you will not receive any warnings if you update CKEditor to the latest version.
Re: Google says, svc.spellchecker.net contains malware
One of the servers of spellchecker.net has been unfortunately blacklisted by Google due to issues on its contents, bringing the results you have seen.
Things got fixed and now it is a matter of having Google scanning their servers again, removing them from the blacklist. Only Google can tell how long this process takes, but it should be back to normal soon.
Right now, there are two possibilities for you to workaround this problem:
- Option 1: Upgrading your CKEditor installation to the latest release, which is not any more pointing to spellchecker.net but to webspellchecker.net, which doesn't have the issue.
- Option 2: Disable spell checking on CKEditor. This can be achieved by simply disabling the spell checking related plugins, by adding the following line at the CKEditor configuration file:
config.removePlugins = 'scayt,wsc';
After that, you may leave the plugins disabled until the following page will have the words "This site is not currently listed as suspicious":
http://safebrowsing.clients.google.com/ ... hecker.net
