Hello,
I'm getting my FCK value in a Jquery (javascript) fonction like this :
var message = FCKeditorAPI.GetInstance("message").GetHTML();
Then I call a php file and send the variable like this :
$.ajax({
type: 'post',
url: 'sendEmail.php',
data: 'message=' + message ,
So my problem is that it works out well when there is no accent in "message", the original FCK value but as soon as I writte an accent in the FCK editor, then the string is stopped one letter before the accent...
So does anyone knows how to import into the variable the entire FCK value with the accents and then how to export it correctly to a php file?
Thanks a lot in advance...
Camille

Re: Getting FCK value with Ajax/Javascript - Problem with accent
Re: Getting FCK value with Ajax/Javascript - Problem with accent
thanks a lot for your reply,
well I actually do have problems with accents like "é" or "à", apparently it is because FCK encodes the text entered for instance :
"ma réponse" is encoded like this "ma réponse"
and ajax doesn't understand it and therefore cannot forward it to the php file called (it only transferes the value "ma r" instead of "ma réponse" in this exemple)
Does that tells anything to you?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help,
Camille
