Flash not working with youtube

I've been using the flash button with a localhost setup with links from youtube and pasting them into the url box and when i submit it they dont' work. I've been checking this in the preview window and theres nothing just a white empty flash box. I've tried this on the site demo too and same issues. If i copy and paste the embed code from youtube then it works fine, any ideas?
