Firefox and fckeditor

I have noticed a few posts here about problems with using the editor in Firefox. What I've not found are any solutions.
What happens to me is that fckeditor will be there, but all toolbar. The text area is a hairline. If I hit the hide toolbar arrow then I can see and enter into the area. This problem does not exist in IE.
Anyone know how to fix this or what is possibly wrong ?

I am actually using an older version of fck from a year ago and this problem doesen't seem apparrent, so try that. My guess is it's the way that FF handles the javascript, im no expert but i would start messing with the java config files to see if you can find a fix in the settings there.
