FireFox 3.0 In Line Spell Checker is Working Iratically

I have embedded FCKEditor in to a web application and am using the Fire Fox 3.0 Spell checker. I have set the following in the fckconfig.js file:

FCKConfig.FirefoxSpellChecker = true;
FCKConfig.BrowserContextMenuOnCtrl = true;

When I enter text in FCKEditor, I encounter the following problems:

1) Misspelled words do not get highlighted if I hit enter to move to the next line
2) Not all misspelled words will be highlighted. Sometimes only the first misspelled word on a line gets a highlight.
3) Sometimes using the toolbar button to switch to source and back will highlight all misspelled words. Same thing if I toggle the fill screen button.
4) All other regular text controls on the page high light spell checking correctly.
5) Sometimes after a source view or fill screen the spell checker seems to work better and will highlight all the misspelled words on a line except for a misspelled word preceding a return.

Has anyone else encountered this? Is there any fix?
