I have installed the latest version (2.3.2)
I am using ASP as the integration point
I am using XP Pro with IIS 5.x, this is my test machine
the hierarchy of the web site looks like this
wwwroot\fcktest\ >> all web files in here
wwwroot\fcktest\fckeditor >> all fck related files in here
wwwroot\fcktest\UserFiles\Image >> all fck image files in here
I have set the permissions on the userfiles directory to have read,write,browse and let any sub directories inherit the permissions.
the fckeditor.asp file has this path >>> sBasePath = "/fckeditor/"
the initializer in the calling asp file looks like this
Dim oFCKeditor
Set oFCKeditor = New FCKeditor
oFCKeditor.BasePath = "FCKeditor/"
oFCKeditor.width = 750
oFCKeditor.height = 800
oFCKeditor.Create "fcktest"
the filemanager config.asp looks like this
' SECURITY: You must explicitelly enable this "connector" (set it to "True").
Dim ConfigIsEnabled
ConfigIsEnabled = True
' Path to user files relative to the document root.
Dim ConfigUserFilesPath
ConfigUserFilesPath = "/UserFiles/Image/"
and the upload config.asp looks like this
' SECURITY: You must explicitelly enable this "uploader" (set it to "True").
Dim ConfigIsEnabled
ConfigIsEnabled = True
' Set if the file type must be considere in the target path.
' Ex: /UserFiles/Image/ or /UserFiles/File/
Dim ConfigUseFileType
ConfigUseFileType = False
' Path to user files relative to the document root.
Dim ConfigUserFilesPath
ConfigUserFilesPath = "/UserFiles/Image/"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have loaded the editor into a page with nothing else as a test. the editor window initializes and shows the default tool bar.
when i click the insert image button the dialog opens. On the "Image Info" tab when i click the browse server button the filemanager loads. in the upper left i have only the imge type available which is ok. no files or folders are present in the main window of the filemanager. the problem (finally getting there) happens when i click the little folder above the main window. nothing happens. If i close the window and try to re-open it the entire window is blank. i have to re-start iis to clear the problem. It looks like the window is flooding iis with connections and locking it up.
A secondary issue seems to be related... i can upload files fine, I confirmed they are there, but the preview does not show the image. and the imgage does not show in the editor window.
ANY help would be greatly apreciated as this has cost me 4 days now.
Thanks, Whizbe

RE: Filemanager shows no files or directories
I am having the same problem. I'm using ColdFusion on Linux/Apache. The Resources Browser will not show the contents of your folders.
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php? ... _id=257180
I went back to both 2.3 and 2.3.1 and they work fine. I haven't looked closely at what changed.
There's a note in the Installation | Upgrade section of the Wiki
http://wiki.fckeditor.net/Developer%27s_Guide/Upgrade
All connectors are now pointing by default to the "/userfiles/" folder instead of "/UserFiles/" (case change). Also, the inner folder for each type (file, image, flash and media) are all lowercased too.
I thought it might have been possible that that code got into the 2.3.2 release, so I added symbolic links to point the lowercase versions to the other ones, but that didn't fix anything.
RE: Filemanager shows no files or directories
same issue here using php connector, i can get 2.3.2 working in camino, seamonkey but have same issues as outlined above in ie6, firefox.
in firebug (firefox) it brings up this error which looks to be related to fckxml.js
uncaught exception: Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open
in ie6 it spits out this error
the server didnt send back a proper xml response.
i have tried the demos and test on the nightly build with same outcomes
http://www.fckeditor.net/demo
http://www.fckeditor.net/nightly/fckedi ... fault.html
any ideas?
RE: Filemanager shows no files or directories
' Path to user files relative to the document root.
Dim ConfigUserFilesPath
ConfigUserFilesPath = "../../../../../../../UserFiles/"
Of course, this doesn't seems right, but then you can view and insert images/files into the editor - but the output code wont be right. It looks nice in the editor, but not live (where the folder "../../../../../../UserFiles/" don't exists.
It seems like the problem is the ConfigUserFilesPath and relativity
RE: Filemanager shows no files or directories
Then FCK will use that folder.
RE: Filemanager shows no files or directories
Code that works fine in version 2.3 and 2.3.1 no longer works in 2.3.2. There should be no reason to have to change your code when you switch to 2.3.2, but when you do switch, the Resources Browser window will not list any files. This problem has been reported in ColdFusion, ASP, and PHP in this thread.

Cheers
RE: Filemanager shows no files or directories
The issue with the userfiles directory being created in the website root was solved in version 2.2, I believe.
Which version are you using?
For the quick upload, I experienced a similar problem, but not like it's described here:
When uploading a file, I got the message: "Your file was uploaded successfully", but when I checked the folder, nothing was there.
The issue was caused by the Images folder not having correct permissions (was 664 and should be 777). Yes, I'm running on Unix.
Please post again if you are using the latest version of FCKeditor, and you have set the permissions on the userfiles folder and all subfolders to 777.
Please also post if this solved your issues.
For debugging, you can always add a line of code in your upload.cfm, that will send you a mail with the location of the uploaded file, like this:
<cfmail from="[valid email address]" to="[your email address]" subject="Upload location">#currentFolderPath#</cfmail>
Put that on line 94, right below your cffile action="upload".
RE: Filemanager shows no files or directories
Here's a way to figure out what's going on. Copy all the files out of the folder in question into another folder elsewhere. Empty it out. Then throw one simply named file in the folder. Pop the image browser open, see if that file shows. If so, then start shuffling files over from the temporary folder into the real folder a few at a time, and check the image browser between each shuffle. When it stops showing files, you know you pushed a badly-named one over.
If that first file doesn't show, then you have other issues going on.
You'll likely have to put in some validation code on your file upload to prevent certain characters from being present in uploaded file names as well. That's why I disabled the upload feature in FCK in favor of my own.
