I have installed FCKeditor on my site and it has worked well integrating with my MySQL database, etc. I have recently tried to enable the upload image and file and browser and it is not working for me. I followed the instructions on the FCK wiki. What directory am I supposed to set to CHMOD 777? Also, where do these files go and where does it browse to? Is this something I have to create or configure? Please let me know, thanks, J

RE: File Browser/Upload with PHP
I wish someone would write some 'perfect documentation' because I see this problem more than anything on this forum and have been working with this editor for a couple of years now.
Best of luck, and I'm monitoring this thread. You can email me directly if you'd like and I can look at your config files (these are the ones that are in filemanager > browser etc.
RE: File Browser/Upload with PHP
I now do it this way:
In
fckeditor/editor/filemanager/browser/default/connectors/php/config.php
and
fckeditor/editor/filemanager/upload/php/config.php
I include a config file of my own right before the
global $Config ;
line.
This contains the full path and the relative path to my uploads folder, as variables.
i.e.
$cms_relative_upload_path="/mysite/cms/";
$cms_full_upload_path="/var/www/mysite/cms/";
Then in each of the config.php files I set:
$Config['Enabled'] = true ;
$Config['UserFilesPath'] = $cms_relative_upload_path;
$Config['UserFilesAbsolutePath'] = $cms_full_upload_path;
and I make sure the cms folder is chmod 777
Seems to work reliably for me.
hope that helps!
