I have this thing installed in my Oracle Portal. when I open my portlet to add an image, not appears. I would click on the "INSERT/EDIT IMAGE" button then click the "BROWSE SERVER" button to add an image. unlike on the FCKeditor.net/Demo, nothing appears with the popup window.
why is this? I am not familiar with this 3rd party product enough to selfdiagnois or trouble shoot.
this popup window does not show my image folders to allow me to select an image. it also does not have the "CREATE FOLDER" feature at the bottom. this popup window does not have any add image capabilities either. why?

if there is someone with greater understanding and comprehension that can help me, then I welcome and would rather help from that individual.
if you choose not to help me, then I thank you for the time you have provided.
again... I have this product installed and it is not operating as the demo. I am not able to edit nor insert images. I am not able to create folders due to that feature being absent from the explorer windown. the browse server button does not seem to connect to any folder structure to allow me access to my images.
I am not familiar with this product therefore I am seeking aid in trouble shooting my problems.
I am running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and the product is installed into my Oracle Portal version 10.1.0.5.0

I guess no one will help you. Your statement is a contradiction. Re-read it and you'll notice that.
Re: FCKeditor installed in portal but no folder structure
how much more clarity is required?

If you don't even know how it's installed and configured it's almost impossible to help you in a forum.
Re: FCKeditor installed in portal but no folder structure
I think I know what you are trying to say, ...
You have this product installed, someone that came before you installed the product and now you are having problems with no clue how to solve them.
This is the way that I understand you, am I correct?
The problem that I understand you are having is that you are not able to create folders on your server.
I was having the same problem when I begin using the product.
However, I was on my development machine at the time using Windows XP.
I don't know if this will help you or not, but my problem was first the fact that I was in a virtual directory and the path that the folders I created was going to localhost/userfiles, I was expecting, localhost/mysite/userfiles
I was using c# to develop my site and had to locate the code that was being executed to know what property to set.
A little sifting through the documentation I found that it was specific to the language I was developing in, the path was
<siteroot>\fckeditor\editor\filemanager\connectors\aspx\config.ascx
The property was being set on the 2nd line of code in the setConfig method:
// URL path to user files.
UserFilesPath = "/userfiles/";
However, since I was using Windows XP and my site was a virtual directory this still did not function the way that I wanted it to. I had to utilize the next line of code:
UserFilesAbsolutePath = "<path to virtual directory root>";
While in the file I noticed that I must set a session variable to IsAuthenticated before the filebrowser was enabled.
After that it worked correctly and I was again pleased with the product and went about other tasks.
