Hi All,
I have set the upload path of fckeditor in my asp.net code to
Session["FCKeditor:UserFilesPath"]= @"~/ALLIMAGES/MYCOUNTRY/MYSTATE/MYCITY/MYSITENAME/SiteGraphics/";
This works great for the quick upload. However when i browse it goes to the root folder in this case ~/ALLIMAGES/Images/ and adds the image folder..
Can someone point me in the right direction here as to why?
Cheers

Re: FCKEditior upload path not the same.
I'm retrofitting FCKeditor to our current CMS. We were using a commercial editor, but it was buggy, clunky - and on the whole didn't do what it said on the tin. FCK does, and so far it's not failed us in testing!
I'm having exactly the same issue as yourself. I'm working in classic asp though. I've set things to upload files to "cms/media" - and set consider target path option to true:
' Set if the file type must be considere in the target path.
' Ex: /userfiles/image/ or /userfiles/file/
Dim ConfigUseFileType
ConfigUseFileType = True
This caused images that I uploaded to be placed in cms/media/images (it appears to have created an images folder)
I then went to the file browser, and realized that I was unable to view above this cms/media/images directory - I need to do this, because there are subfolders in cms/media/. So I changed the above ConfigUseFileType to false, and now files get uploaded to cms/media/ (I know this because I can see them added to the server as I upload them).
.. but when I go into the file browser I still cant see above cms/media/images. Is there any way I can get the file browser to look at cms/media/ as the root?
Many Thanks,
Bobson
Re: FCKEditior upload path not the same.
I have this problem also, a bit of investigation shows that When browsing, the software appends the 'resource type' to add a sub directory name.
This really limits you to arranging your resources by type (personally I don't care for this -- I know what type a file is from its extension, and/or mime-type),
a mask (for both browsing and limiting the uploaded types) would be better for me.
However, changing a line in fckconfig.js to read:
FCKConfig.ImageBrowserURL = FCKConfig.BasePath + 'filemanager/browser/default/browser.html?Type=.&Connector=connectors/' + _FileBrowserLanguage + '/connector.' + _FileBrowserExtension ;
(Only mod is that the resource 'Type' parameter in the query string is now '.' to represent current directory) seem to give the required functionality, but is a bit of a 'hack'.
The same change could be made for the flash and other uploads URLs if requried.
An improvement that could be made, however, is that if the file browser window is already open, then clicking the 'browse' button should bring it to the front!
Regards - and thanks for a great product.
