Hi,
Can anyone please advise on the license terms for usage of the FCK editor.
I've read the support forums and posts regarding this issue already, but sadly, every answer i find seems to contradict the previous one!
So not wanting to breach any legalities or do anyone out of any money due, please can someone advise.
Our company has built our own CMS (Enhance CMS) and our customers pay an annual fee to access and use it to administrate there websites. We may also in the future make this CMS available on cd's to be installed on other peoples servers. FCK editor has been incorporated into our CMS and we are concerned about what license we should be using. Half of our office thinks one thing and the other half something different!!
Our understanding is this so far: Under the GPL or LGPL license, we should be making/distributing the source code for FCK with our Enhance CMS, we should also be leaving any copyright notices in place in the FCK source code? If we adhere to these terms, are we safe to use the FCK Editor in the ways described above for no fees (Free).
Alternivly, if we use the FCK editor in the ways described above and wish to remove the copyright notices in the sourcecode, or do not wish to make the source code available to our customers or package the source code with our own product, are we correct in thinking that we need a commercial license?
Please help...
Thanks in advance

Re: FCK usage query
Have got a response from FCK? I've send them an email with the same question you've posted here, but I have not heard anything from them. I wonder why?
