Extra Backk Slashes in Image URL

I am trying to have the FCK Editor insert an image in the text field. I insert image, choose an image on the server. The URL has an extra "/" in the URL. The URL it is putting in the field is "/userfiles/image/ANGELA%20AND%20TJ%203.JPG". The correct URL for the image should be "userfiles/image/ANGELA%20AND%20TJ%203.JPG". How do I remove the first "/"? I have flipped through the config files and cannot find anything on this.
