Hi there,
I have to install a Joomla 1.7.3-Website with CKEditor 3.6.2.2.
I downloaded the newest zip-package on my pc and uploaded it to my webserver.
Then I start the installation directly in Joomla ExtensionManager.
Now I get two messages:
1. Error when creating the admin menus.
2. The component installation was completed successfully.
It's right, the admin menu isn't there.
I can change the global editor into ckeditor. But I can't configure the ckeditor.
What is the problem?
In order to purchase the ckeditor, I have to know what's wrong.

in Joomla database in table please check if there is a record with title . If yes, please delete it. Than please try uninstall CKEditor component. After this you can try install it again. During last installation which fail, where there any JavaScript errors ?
Please give me a note if reinstalling works as expected.

there's no entry named "COM_CKEDITOR_MENU_NAME".
And I get no javascript-errors.

which template du you mean?
In Joomla-backend I use the default-template: Bluestork - Default.
For CKEditor I changed nothing. I only use the original downloadversion from your site.
The serverlog shows only HTTP/1.1 200 at GET an HTTP/1.1 303 at POST.

I checked this with fresh Joomla 1.7.3 with ckeditor_3.6.2-2_for_joomla_1.7.zip and I can't reproduce this.
Can you give us more information about your server, php version , anything that can help us identify this issue.

Hi,
@Pickeboe yesterday, we added new release of Joomla extension. Please update your version (http://ckeditor.com/ckeditor-for-joomla) to the latest one. Please check if your problem still exists there.
In new version there is no special fix for your issue, but in older version , during installation corrupted values where stored into database, maybe this solve your problem. If not we will try search it further.
