I just built a new page using the latest version of FCKEditor but am having a problem. While testing my PHP I was typing "test" in the editor and everything worked fine. As soon as I went live with it and people starting pasting in longer text items -- only 3 or 4 paragraphs -- it quit working. The write to the MySQL database fails.
If I reduce the text to only 100 or so characters it works. Removing all the returns from the pasted text didn't help.
I searched the forums and found some old questions about this, but no solution.
Any help would be appreciated.

I would appreciate information on how to make it work, or advice on whether I should simply go back to the older version that did work.

This should help

As for going back a few versions, that sounds like a bad idea. I don't know what FCKeditor did with quotes before, but that's actually irrelevant, as your database may be compromised without FCKeditor running - an attacker can just send data directly, bypassing the editor.
