When I add some text for it is adding <p> tags around this automatically - having tried turning off:
FCKConfig.FormatSource = false ;
FCKConfig.FormatOutput = false ;
FCKConfig.FormatIndentator = '' ;
But still no joy and I do not want the <P> tags.
Would appreciate a fix if anyone has done this. Have had a search through online but could not find the answer.
Many thanks.

Re: Editor is adding <P> at start of text - how to remove
The FCKeditor has a (bad, IMHO) habit of adding extra spaces, and also of creating <p> blocks whenever it thinks a piece of text needs some kind of "wrapper". For example: our web application produces output consisting entirely of a form using table layouts; often, the editor will add an empty <p> block at the end of the form when you click the 'Save' button.
Personally, I think these "features" are bugs, though from my forays into the FCKeditor source code, it appears that a number of them have been added to address some supposed browser "peculiarities".
