Editor Glitch, can't see text

I have had this problem happen repeatedly. I usually overcome it by updating the plugin or WordPress, but this time neither is fixing it. I can't see any content in the editor window unless I highlight it with my mouse, so therefore, it is like working blind. Attached are images of the editor window.

Blind

This problem comes up from time to time. The editor window goes blank. The content is still there but can only be seen by highlighting with a mouse. Attached are two snippets of the window, with and without highlighting. I usually fix this problem by updating the plugin or WordPress. Both are currently up to date, but the problem still exists.

System configuration

Hi, what is your system setup: OS, browser (what version).

Does it happen also in regular textareas or only in CKEditor?
Does it happen only in WP or on other sites too?
In what circumstances it occurs?
