After a bit of messing around I got FCKEditor fully and properly installed as a form component for a Zend Framework based site. Works a treat, so thanks for the software.
Now, one of the things I wanted it for was to edit the site config files which are all in XML. If I simply splat the file content into the textarea and display it, I get the tag contents but no tags and it's all unformatted.
Is there any way that I can tell the editor to use a different XML DTD and display the contents in a pre determined way? If this means coding I'm OK to do that but if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

Re: Editing XML source files
In my case FCKeditor is being used within an online editor program called Easy Site Edit.
Is there any way I can get the <image> tag to stay as is?
Re: Editing XML source files
I want to edit some arbitrary XML source file and have it display correctly according to its DTD file. I don't want to mess with the core display of the editor itself.
I "assume" that fckeditor is using some kind of xml DTD to define what gets displayed in the editor window. That's what I want to replace.
