Editing the Preview Window

How does one edit how the content appears in the preview window? Right now it's just taking a dump of what's in the content area of FCK. I want to be able to have the preview button take that content and place it in the frontend template of the site.

Get the "output" of the editor area from your $_POST array (assuming PHP, for instance). Store it (if you have to) and "cough it up" in the "target" page.

I do not think there is a POST once the user hits the preview button, it's all javascript isn't it?
