I downloaded FCKeditor, unzipped it, then FTP'd the fckeditor directory into the /modules directory. Then enabled it in the Modules page and saved it. Then in the Permissions page I selected all three options in the fckeditor module section.
Then I tried creating a page and blog, but the fckeditor tools didn't appear for either of the text boxes.
What am I missing here? Thx.

Re: Drupal: Enabled FCKeditor, but it doesn't appear
Second, if you're using the WYSIWYG module with FCKeditor, you want to put the FCKeditor folder inside of the WYSIWYG folder, and make sure the second FCKeditor directory with the editor files is inside the top FCKeditor directory,
e.g. /sites/all/modules/wysiwyg/fckeditor/fckeditor
I made this mistake of only downloading the FCKeditor alone for Drupal 6, thinking it would act like a plug-in and it didn't work that way, and wouldn't consistently load. In the WYSIWYG documentation on drupal.org, there is no official support for the FCKeditor-to-WYSIWYG module, so be aware there may be conflicts.
Third, make sure your permissions on the files are set correctly so modules and Drupal can communicate with each other. For me, WYSIWYG wasn't initially talking to FCKeditor because permissions (chgrp as well as chmod) were wrong on the files.
What have you tried so far?

Oh, and one more thing, possibly more useful than what I already posted...
did you see this?

Might help.
Good luck!
