Checkbox problem

First, I am a newbie to this stuff.
I enabled the checkbox and radio buttons in the toolbar. When I click the Checkbox button in Edit mode, I can see the image of the checkbox appear where I want it. When I hit Submit, I see only this in the place of the checkbox I was just looking at:
<input type="checkbox"></input>

What am I missing? I have been looking through the config files and do not know what to change to make this work.

I too am experiencing this problem. My problem is not just isolated to the checkbox but also the radio button, text field, textbox and selection field.

Please if you know of any place I can look at to resolve this issue, let me know.
