Hi
I have a problem with uploading images.
Sorry the bad english - please feel free to write, I you dont understand my writing.
-------------------------------
Thing I can do
-------------------------------
I can create a folder using FCK's file browser - great
I can upload images to the root I specified - great
I can create a folder in a external ftp program, set folders to CHMOD 777 and then using FCK file browser to upload an image to this folder - great
---
BUT......
---
-------------------------------
Thing I can't do
-------------------------------
I can't create a folder in FCK file browser and then upload an image to the created folder - NOT great
-------------------------------
Maybe the first step to the solution
-------------------------------
I looking at the folder through an external ftp program I can see it is CHMOD 777, but it is like "read only" - I cant change it to for example 666 (but can delete it).
-------------------------------
Please help me

RE: Cant upload images to subfolders -please
you could try using KFM instead of the default FCKeditor filemanager.
go to http://kfm.verens.com/
download the Nightly version (it's basically version 0.8 - to be released officially on Friday)
unzip it in the FCKeditor plugins directory
copy configuration.php.dist to configuration.php and edit it to your satisfaction.
Add the line FCKConfig.Plugins.Add('kfm'); to your fckconfig.js
RE: Cant upload images to subfolders -please
KFM is a much better browser, I must say.......
BUT it still have the same problem.
I cant upload to folders I create using the file browser (KFM)
This time it is CHMOD 755 and I still cant edit the CHMOD using my ftp program (as the file is locked somehow), but I can delete it using both ftp program and KFM.
If I make some folders myself using ftp program and CHMOD 777 to them, I can upload pictures using KFM.
Can it be a problem on my server or something. And do you then know what?
RE: Cant upload images to subfolders -please
Ah - I see:
you can create a sub-directory /with the filebrowser/,
but you can't upload a file into that directory /with your FTP client/
what appears to be happening there is that your webserver is running under a username, which is not the same as your FTP account. When the webserver creates a 0755 directory, that's read/write for the webserver, but read-only for all other users (including your FTP account).
both KFM and the FCKeditor file managers are designed to be used /instead of/ FTP clients.
